School Assembly« back to home

School assemblies are held every week in the school hall. They provide an opportunity for the whole school to gather together and focus on the children as they share their experiences.

Classes take turns to lead the weekly assembly, during which the children recite the school prayer and sing the national anthem. School assembly provides a place for groups like the choir, Green Group or Student Representative Council to share something they have been preparing. Presentations may relate  to the school values, current themes or incentives, celebrations or a particular focus the school is highlighting.

Student achievement is also celebrated at school assembly, with a student from each class receiving an award for excelling at a particular skill or demonstrating a particular value. Positive behaviour is recognised and certificates are awarded to four or five students who have been named as positive contributors.

Assemblies provide a great opportunity for parents to check in and see what is happening at the school. Parents are also invited to promote school events that they are organising.

School assembly is held every Friday at 9:00 AM in the Aikenhead Hall and everyone is welcome to attend.
