Grandparents & Special Persons Day« back to home

Grandparents and Special Persons Day happens once a year when students invite a special person in their life to come along and spend a morning at school.

Every year at St John’s we celebrate Grandparents and Special Persons Day to honour the important role that our grandparents and other special family friends play in the lives of our children.

Grandparents are the keepers of our family stories and are often at the heart of our families. For those children who are without this influence, there are other special people who look after and care for them.

On Grandparents and Special Persons Day we invite our guests into the classrooms for a variety of activities and lay out a lovely morning tea catered for by our families. We conclude the morning by celebrating a special Mass to give thanks for the influence of all the special people in the lives of our children.
