Student Representative Council« back to home

The Student Representative Council (SRC) works to represent students’ interests and needs. They take action to bring about positive changes that will benefit the students and the whole school community.

The role of the SRC is to be the voice of the students. Class representatives of the SRC find out what their fellow students think and present their ideas at SRC meetings. Student reps are also invited to contribute to the school decision-making process, with the school seeking their opinions on issues such as learning and teaching and student behaviour.

At the beginning of the year, students from each class are democratically elected by their fellow students to represent them on the SRC for the whole year.

The SRC is also responsible for organising fundraising days and activities, in past years these have included a day when students dress up as their favourite movie character, Movie and Pyjama Day and the St John’s Talent Quest.
